Preamble
The Kollektiv d4t is an association that, among other things, develops software solutions to track and analyse disinformation spread via the internet, particularly on the "Telegram platform". The aim of the organisation is to promote science and research, education, public and vocational training and the general promotion of democracy. The software developed by the Kollektiv d4t is a tool for recognising, tracking and researching the functioning of fake news, conspiracy narratives and other disinformation disseminated via the Internet. The association, which does not pursue any commercial purposes, is committed to democratic and constitutional principles and would like to use the software to make a technical contribution to transparent and fact-based public discourse. The software developed is made available free of charge to universities and other research institutes that research and teach in this field.
Terms
- The user is responsible for ensuring that the use of the software aligns with the objectives outlined in the preamble and is not misused.
- The user agrees to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- The user's account may be suspended for reasons such as prolonged inactivity, any doubt as to compliance with points 1) or 2), or if authentication appears questionable (e.g. email address does not match the affiliated research institute).
- We reserve the right to terminate the service for regulatory, financial or other reasons.
- If the use of the software contributes to research results that are published, the user must ensure that the utilization of Telegram Monitoring is acknowledged.
- For technical assistance, contact moin@data4transparency.com. Please note that there is no service level agreement or similar guaranteeing specific services or response times.
- This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be exclusively submitted to the courts in Hamburg, Germany.
- We reserve the right to modify, update, or change these terms of use at any time. Users will be notified of any changes via email or through the software interface. Continued use of the software after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
- Severability: If any provision of these terms of use is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
